The Lightnin’ Rods Jazz Bass is an active Jazz Bass pickup voiced for vintage-style tone, but with the benefits of higher output level and increased headroom. The clear, articulate attack that makes a Jazz Bass so special is there, as well as the crisp highs and focused lows. All we did was boost the output a little.

It has a traditional exposed-poles look, and is a drop-in replacement for Fender American Standard 4-string Jazz Bass. Perfect for the player who wants vintage tone, but needs the consistent, steady signal level of an active pickup. Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, the Lightnin’ Rods Jazz Bass use ceramic magnets, and come with 3-conductor lead wire.
